Topic: Are we heading into a double dip recession, and could we see a Eurozone state default on sovereign debt?

Prof. Sandeep Gopalan taught law for several years in the United States and in the United Kingdom before taking up his current post as head of the Dept. of Law at the National Univ. of Ireland, Maynooth. Prior to his academic career, he worked as an investment banker on Wall Street, and as a lawyer in California. He graduated with a Gold Medal from the National Law School of India, and went up to Oxford (where he was a Rhodes Scholar) for his B.C.L., and D.Phil. degrees. Prof. Gopalan was appointed to the Arizona Aerospace and Defense Commission by the Governor of Arizona, and he served as chairman during 2006-07. He has served as co-chairman of the American Bar Association (ABA) Aerospace and Defense Industries committee, as vice-chairman of the ABA International Secured Transactions and Insolvency law committee, and as a member of the ABA Commission on Immigration.

Paul Sommerville is head of private clients at Delta Index. He is also Head of Delta Index UK. Paul has 22 years experience of financial services. Paul returned to Ireland after 21 years and joined Delta Index in July 2008. For the previous 6 years Paul was Senior Trading Advisor on spread betting and contracts for difference with City Index Advisory in the UK. Before that, Paul was head of Interest rate futures at Tullett & Tokyo in Japan where he worked and advised banks and institutions during Japan’s lost decade.
