I want to know who told the sinn fein councillor what willy said. Willy told the  journalist to check his sources i think there is more to this story than meets the eye I smell a rat somewhere.

Maire, Wexford

***

Why did o'dea and other politicians get parachute money whenever they lose or resign there  seat. is this the norm in other countries.

Dermot

***

It is widely known that brian cowen has no balls now he has no willie either

Frank, Westmeath

***

I had to give up on a another topical debate program on a rival tv station this evening  because I was sick and tired of its right-wing rhetoric being spewed by people like Bill  Cullen and other like minded people. I didnt know though I would be required to change  channels to get balance.

Alan, Raheny

***

Tell George I thought the Pimlico question at the Clontarf quiz he hosted was one of those  'wine' questions we were supposed to shout out:-D.

Kev, Dublin 3

Neil Jordan is, in my opinion, the leading Irish filmmaker of his age, a hearty nod of  respect from this young filmmaker!

***

It's great to see someone from the communist party! Capitalist gambling has failed us,its  time for a real alternatìve...

Mary, Galway

***

If bank shares are as good as money why not use them for TD' salaries, Dail pensions,  higher civil service pay and the upcoming St. Pats Day junkets?

Ask your panel why there has not been one single published letter to the Irish Independent  on Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun or today, which agreed with Willie O'Dea's disgrace.

Kev, Dublin 3

Just watched 'THE FRONT LINE' on rte. Am disgusted at the comment by Byrne the F.F. T D  intimating there is a 'Political Class'. Disgusting... How would he deal with  unemployment?

Sheila, Mullingar.

Chris, Mayo

When you say that F.F.and F.G. are the Same: 1. You can't show a 10yr period where F.G.  Lost our Competiveness and destroyed our Economy.2.F.F. 2 of their last 3 leaders Had-to  Resign in Disgrace unlike F.G.3.F.G. has a Jobs stimlus plan.4.F.G. Proposed Not to Cut  people earning less than £30k or S.Welfare. I could continue,PLEASE read-out.

Pat, Castleisland

***

youre forgetting one little detail. The economy went wallop since the government made  promises to Limerick. The money is no longer there to pay for the regeneration of Limerick  and thats the simple truth.

John, Dublin

***

We always knew Brian Cowan had no balls -now he has no Willie either !

NB, Kerry

***

Calm down, they cant take the IFTA back

Brian, Dublin

***

Willie o dea did nothing for limerick and surrounding areas look at the businesses that  have closed down over the years catherine in limerick non party.

***

i always find your political discourse more stimulating when Justine McCarthy is on the  panel and i'm not just talking about her political insight. Anyway, the most important  question of the day has nothing to do with willie o'dea or anyone else. What everone wants  to know is how many volts does she have to take to get her hair looking like that. It is  truly a miraculous creation. I could look at it all night.

TJ, Tallaght

***

Its all about calling a spade a spade.

Allison

***

Willie O'Dea is a thug and a clown. Good riddance!

David, Dublin

***

:) o dea is a liar and slanderer:) it is not ok for such a man to be a public  representative never mind a minster:) the usual joy standards :)

Fran, Dublin

***

The main point was the sworn affidavit. He is a barrister and knew exactly the need to  check what he put in his affidavit. Mistake, how do!

Phil, Sligo

***

Wait for the popes letter. There is no quick fix.

Tom, D3

***

Bring on Willie O Dea

***

I am sick of having dan boyle runing this country. He seems to have more power than brian  cowen , yet he was rejected by the electerated of this country. We need an election and i  come from a fianna fail back ground. The greens should not have such power. Galway east is  the place to watch to see if fine gale get 3 out of 4 seats. Which fianna fail used to  hold.

Mike, Galway

***

Just heard that newry courthouse has been bombed. Has tv 3 any news on it?

***

Is your programme going the American way with ads. You introduced your panel after your  jingle and then went straight to break at 11.06 till 11.11. What is this?

Marie, Waterford

***

I was watching dermot ahern laughing his head off during the o dee love in fest.if pergury  is so funny is the minister for justice its chief clown.

Tom, D14

***

Im not a supporter of lisbon treaty but im glad europe makes our laws if that is how our  politicians carry on in the dail!like boot boys.especially dermot ahern!how undignified !

Eamonn

***

In modern parlance george is running rings around u

Joe, Limerick

***

The shannon crisis the dell closure and the broken promises about regeneration all  occurred since the 2007 election. Sam is wrong. Willie odea is finished in limerick and  fianna fail will lose both seats in limerick east because there is too much anger here.  Its all we have left!

***

The people of limerick must be very undemanding. This man has been its public  representative for about 20 years and what can he show for it. His staff are doing all the  constituency work helping people obtain their entitlements. The local citizens information  bureau could do just as well.

Marcella

***

Can your panel explain in what is called a debate in the dail how enda kenny can compare  willie o dea to the devine trinity?

***

Dreadful example of good manners from d minister for justice.what awful debate from our  leaders.

Allison

***

Is there a garda in the country who sees corruption as their enemy?Clone elliot ness  quick!

***

The electorate are the morons who elect the idiots and clowns to the circuses that are the  Dail and Seanad. Embarrassing. We need IQ tests.

Bobby, Dublin

***

What a match, Hook and the communist party. Are they both moving to North Korea.

Noel Naughton, Limerick

***

Those in Dail Gov. Acting like thugs... So distasteful to see dermot aherne sneering. What  are they like.

Anne, Kilkenny

***

Willie willie puding and pie, crossed sinn fein and made them cry. When the boys came out  to play, willie willie ran away.

Mary Comroy, Portlaoise

***

We have not lost to refuse to fight would have been to lose we have kept our faith with  the past and handed a tradition to the future God help us.

Brid

***

Can somebody please compare Willie O'Dea's vote in the last election to that of Boyle, de  Burca & all of The Communist party of Ireland. We could even compare it to George Hook's  much trumpeted listenership figures. Your panal not only has a bias against Fianna Fail  they have a bias against democracy!!!

John Levins, Newcastlewest

***

George and Michael OLeary to run the country. Mary Coughlan to make the tea.

Bernice

***

Justine is right. The government ministers cannot tell difference between right and wrong.
