Lucinda Williams at Tripod

Lucinda Williams has announced an exclusive Dublin date at Tripod on Thursday 22 November. The American rock-folk-country singer-songwriter is touring to promote the recent release of West, her eighth studio album and the follow up to her Grammy-nominated album World Without Tears (2003) and her Grammy-winning albums Essence (2001) and Car Wheels On A Gravel Road (1998). Of West, Vanity Fair said ‘Lucinda Williams has made the record of a lifetime – part Hank Williams, part Bob Dylan, part Keith Richards circa exile on Main Street.'

Williams has collaborated with some of the world's finest artists including Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, David Crosby, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson and folk legend Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Her immense songwriting talent has seen her songs covered by many acclaimed artists including the Grammy winning worldwide hit Passionate Kisses performed by Mary Chapin Carpenter and Tom Petty's version of Change The Locks. Her music has appeared on various soundtracks including Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer and Talladega Nights.

Fionn Regan will support Lucinda at Tripod.
