Press conference: Irish Anti-War Movement

The Irish Anti War Movement and its allies, the NGO Peace Alliance and the Peace and Neutrality Alliance, together the Stop Bush Campaign, are holding a press conference on Thursday 15 February at 11am in Buswells Hotel, Molesworth St on the fourth anniversary of the huge global protests to stop war on 15 February 2003, which saw millions march around the world and 50,000 march in Dublin.
The press conference will draw a balance sheet on the invasion and occupation of Iraq in the intervening four years.
Speakers will announce details of a major demonstration at the Fianna Fail Ard Fheis on 24 March to protest at Irish government allowing the use of Shannon Airport by the US military.
They will also a announce a number of major initiatives to make the war and Shannon Airport an election issue in the forthcoming Dail election.
