Armenia's president, prime minister and defense minister enter top ten of richest Armenian people

In a country, Armenia, where almost two thirds of the population earn an annual income of around €1,000, the Defence Minister is worth more than $1 billion, the Transport and Communications Minister Andranik Manukyan earns over €2 million a year and the President, Robert Kocharyan, and Prime Minister, Andranik Margaryan, are also among the country's top ten richest people. This is according to Forbes magazine's Armenian edition. 

It is worth mentioning that Orinats Yerkir party secretary Egine Bisharyan announced that monthly revenue of Transport and Communications Minister Andranik Manukyan is $200,000, Finance and Economy Minister Vardan Khachatryan $40,000, Territorial Governance Minister Hovik Abramyan $30,000, and property belonging to Defense Minister Serzh Sargsyan is worth more than $1 billion, while monthly income of over 59% of the population is less than $100.
