What is it like to be old?

Age Action Ireland has invited secondary school students throughout Ireland to participate again this year in Essay/Short Story and Photography competitions on the subject of ageing. Last year the prize winners came from Dublin, Cork , Monaghan and Westmeath. The closing date is 3 December.

The leader of the Seanad and former Education Minister, Mrs Mary O'Rourke, has already launched the competitions, which are open to Transition Year students or Fourth Years(15-17 years) in more than 700 schools around the country.

The competitions are part of Age Action Ireland's mission to improve solidarity between the generations.
