Planning in East Meath and Dublin North
The complete lack of anything that looks like sensible planning in East Meath and North Dublin will lead to major problems in the future.
We live on the edge of the bubble that is the sprawling metropolis of Dublin. We see major development pressure on small villages town lands on the outskirts of the City. A lack of resources being given to completely overloaded planning offices in local authorities is a major problem as is the lack of sensible planning in the larger towns in North Fingal where private developers seem to be setting the entire agenda for all tiny “shoe box” apartment type developments. Town centres are being destroyed by developers removing all semblance of character and creating ugly gated village frontages in many towns in North Dublin.
