Giving something back to canvassers

I've been wondering for some time what to do when canvassers call to my door. In the past I've found myself engaged in acrimonious arguments with people against whom I bear no personal animosity, perfectly nice people who just happen to represent a party I dislike.

Recently the idea came to me: why not give THEM a leaflet explaining my point of view?

I've posted a Citizen's Manifesto on my web site at www.williamwall.eu. It's just a sample. I hope to inspire others to create their own. But you're free to just print mine and hand it out if you like.

The drill is simple: They give us their leaflets, we give them ours. It's symmetric.

And I hope that if you like the idea you'll pass it on. It seems to me to be an active form of citizenship.
