Dara Calleray, Fianna Fail, North Mayo

Ballina native Calleray was 'surrounded by politics growing up', as father Sean and grandfather Phelim were both TD's. Dara has been part of the Fianna Fail National Executive for the last 10 years, and topped the poll recently. He believes he has an advantage as the youngest candidate in Mayo, yet will have a small learning curve due to his experience. Regional development concerns him, and as he has sat on several board regional boards he understands the challenges for business. North Mayo has not had a TD since 2002. If Calleray can overcome the other 5 strong candidates he would like to be that TD.
