Are they experienced?

To all readers who are wondering who to vote for in the forthcoming elections, may I suggest that they ask the following question of any politician who seems to want their vote: “Exactly what qualifications do you personally have to manage a multi-million people, multi-billion euro business called a country?”

When they start to waffle, point out politely but firmly that they are not answering your question: you wish to know their personal qualifications.
When they continue not to answer (as they all will because not one single one of them is even remotely qualified to do anything so complex), close the door or turn your back. Then note his or her name and make up your mind to go out and use your vote for anybody else at all except that person. It's the only way I can think of that gives us the slightest chance of getting a competent government. Eventually.
