The Irish Palestinian Solidarity Campaign have organised a march to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Gaza Strip and West Bank.

The march will take place on Saturday 9th June at 2pm and will assemble at the Central Bank on Dame St in the city centre before marching throug the capitals main thoroughfares.

Éirígí chairperson Brian Leeson, calling on people to attend the rally said:

‘I would call on the Irish people to show support for the people of Palestine in their struggle for a viable homeland.

‘Attending Saturday's march is one simple gesture that all of us can make to help show the Dublin government, and of course the diplomats in the Israeli embassy in Ballsbridge, that 40 years of occupation is enough'.
